The short version: Unlived stores only what's needed to run your simulations. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. Your life story stays yours.
Unlived ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that simulates plausible alternate life trajectories based on decisions you describe. We are operated by the Unlived team and can be contacted at support@unlived.app.
We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:
We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other device data beyond what is listed above.
Your data is used exclusively to:
We never use your data for advertising. We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your personal life descriptions with anyone outside of the services required to run the app.
When you submit a life decision for simulation, your text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your simulation results. This processing is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not use your submissions to train AI models.
Important: Unlived is a plausible simulation engine, not a prediction tool, not therapy, and not a verdict on your life. All outputs are clearly labelled as plausible patterns, not facts.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Your session credentials are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage and are never transmitted in plain text.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app — this permanently deletes all your simulations, Fork Score history, and account information within 30 days.

Unlived is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@unlived.app and we will delete it promptly.

The Unlived mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (unlived.app) may use essential cookies for basic functionality only.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.
